1st lottery deadline – April 30: Residents only
2nd lottery deadline – August 16: First time applicants, Non-Residents & rejected applicants
Random daily drawings – Sept 14 – Oct 4: multiple permits
Notice: October 19 – Remaining Random Daily Drawing County Permits will be sold over the counter on a first come, first serve basis. Permits will be sold until quotas are exhausted or until the close of the firearm season.

ARCHERY DEER PERMITS
Season Dates:
October 1 – January 16 in Cook, DuPage, Lake and portions of Kane County east of State Route 47. October 1 – January 16 in all other counties except that archery hunting is CLOSED November 19, 20, 21 and December 2, 3, 4, 5 for the two firearm deer seasons. Hunters must wear blaze orange during the Youth Season October 9, 10, the December 10, 11, 12 Muzzleloader season and the Late-winter and CWD Seasons (December 30 – January 2 and January 14 – 16, 2011).

Resident Archery Dates and Fees – Combo tags (Either-Sex and Antlerless-Only) – Over-the-Counter late August
All Hunters:
Only one annual license and habitat stamp is required to hunt for the entire 2010 deer season regardless of the number or type of permits held by a hunter. 2010 Licenses are good until March 31, 2011.
LATE WINTER FIREARM SEASON (Handgun, Shotgun, Muzzleloader/Antlerless-Only)
Season Dates:
December 30 – January 2 and January 14-16, 2011
Application dates (Residents and Non-Residents)
Permits will be available over-the-counter at local license agents in mid December. The cost for a Late-Winter Permit will be $17.50.
CWD SEASON (Handgun, Shotgun, Muzzleloader/Antlerless-Only)
Season Dates: December 30 – January 2 and January 14 – 16, 2011
CWD Counties: Boone, DeKalb, Kane (W of Rt. 47), McHenry & Winnebago.
Permits will be available over-the-counter at local license agents in mid December for $5.50

Resident Property Only Hunting (POH) = Landowner/tenant/shareholder/limited liability company member/income trust beneficiary and partner of a partnership (39.5 acres or more)
